You can delete your Sawt account at any time. This page explains exactly what is removed, what stays, and how to ask us if you cannot do it yourself.
What deleting your account does
Erased
Your account and profile, your voting records and personal voting history, your saved progress, and any support requests you have sent us.
Kept, with your name removed
Comments and citizen suggestions you have published. The text stays visible on the Platform, but the link to your account is severed and cannot be restored. We do this so that public discussions and proposals other people have replied to do not disappear.
Not recalculated
Aggregate results and statistics that already include your participation. These are stored as historical totals and do not identify you.
Deletion is permanent. It cannot be undone, and your account cannot be recovered afterwards.
Delete your account in the app
- Open Sawt and sign in.
- Go to Profile, then Privacy and Security.
- Choose Delete my account, then confirm.
Your account is removed straight away. You do not need to contact us.
If you cannot sign in
Write to us from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it.
We will check that the request really comes from you before anything is removed, and we will reply within 30 days.
Which app this covers
This page covers the Sawt صوّت mobile and web app, and the website sawtlb.com. Both are operated by Sawt.
We may keep limited records where Lebanese law requires it, or where they are needed to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
